Action- The Master Gear that makes Everything Happen
Hi all!
Without action nothing happens. You can have all the knowledge in the world, if you don’t put it to use NOTHING HAPPENS.
First, I want to say thanks to all those who have taken the action of commenting, tweeting, facebooking, social bookmarking my posts. Thanks for spreading the good word so everyone can get insight here. When I say insight, I mean we all (me included) learn something. Some of your comments has made me look at things from different angles. Your good comments mean a lot to me and others. Helping each other is priceless. Helping each other is what this blog is all about.
Taking off from my last post http://www.terryconti.com/setting-direction-for-your-goals/ you need to create a direction on what it is you want. Make a plan by writing down the necessary steps. There are many micro, small, medium and large steps (goals) you must set up for yourself to achieve your ultimate goal. Life has it’s ways of changing things around so sometimes you must change things around. The main thing is that you have a direction and TAKE ACTION.
Out of all the gears that you need to reach your goals action is the master gear. Once you have established a direction through a plan, it’s action time! You must organize all in your life where you set aside time for action for your Internet Marketing business. It may not be an easy thing to do for some however it must be incorporated into your life. It all ties in with the fuel to reach your goals which is the passion you have within.
Like anything else in life. The beginning steps are the hardest. The more you get going the more things fall into place. You’ve got to have that fuel. That fuel is passion. Sometimes your actions will get a lot done, sometimes your actions will get something small done, even nothing done.
I keep saying it but life is a funny thing. Everyone has a bad day. Everyone has a good day. Always do the best you can and enjoy your days. The more you do in time the better it gets.
A Fellow blogger Dawn Kay who has a quality resourceful blog of her own is giving away Internet Marketing checklists and planners. That’s right free Internet Marketing checklists and planners on her blog to help you take action along your way. http://dawnkaysblog.com/free-internet-marketing-checklists-and-planners are a tremendous help so go over to her blog to get yours.
When it comes to Internet Marketing and you’re looking for a good place to start I would suggest taking action and get John Thornhill’s Your Own eBook Business I highly recommend it because not only will you learn about selling information on eBay, you will also get your own eBook website, just like mine here at http://www.liferitenow.com Click the link above and learn how to set it up.
You will be able to personalize it your own way so it won’t look exactly the same. You’ll also get to become an affiliate of an audio book marketing website. You will also get a good education about eBook marketing, plus so much more.
Oh I almost forgot about the limited bonus. Resell Rights Blue Print that John is selling on the web for $97.00 you can check it out by clicking on the link but don’t get it through that page get it as a bonus free by getting John’s Your Own eBook Business. Read the two sales pages to get more info on the subject. I can tell you this doesn’t compare with anything else out there, the price is fantastic considering the value you’re getting.
So what ever it is that you are planning to do, taking action is the key to it all. Take action everyday and along with all the ups and downs that life gives us do your very best and enjoy each day. Know that the fun starts when you start to take action to arrive at your destination.
As always I hope you got something out of this post. If you have a Twitter or Facebook account don’t forget to easily tweet and/or like. Facebook me, Stumble me, please share using the buttons above or below if you found value here, thank you.
Also please leave a comment below. We’d all like to know what you think or like to add.

Yep got to get the message out. It’s truly feels like such a good thing to do.
It’s very easy to just let everything go after some time if you don’t have the right ingredients.
I mean with life’s hurdles, cuts and corners you’ve got to take action and put the time in order to succeed.
Writing it all down and taking consistent action is what it’s all about. There are no free rides. Thanks for you input Ed,

I have been following your series of posts you have done and have liked each new one more than the last.
You are absolutely right without action you have nothing. It does not matter how much planning or preparation you do, if you never take action nothing ever happens.
I have seen this in most everything that I have ever been involved with. I see so many people that prepare forever and have a fabulous setup but they never take action so all of their energies setting everything up are just wasted time.
Sometimes it is better to quit preparing for action and start taking action.
I have trouble staying focused so have been making check lists every night for the next day. That way I know what I have to accomplish the next day.
Thanks for a great post.

Hi Dee,
Thanks so much for following my series of posts. I hope you and others are getting a good motivational boost. It’s a shame to know that some people set out to do something and it only winds up dead in the water.
I hope these posts help others to wake up and be aware of what you need to do to stay on track. I like what you brought up in your comment, there comes a point that enough with preparing and learning. Just do it. Learn as you go along.
Preparing and learning is very important but you just can’t be stuck in that stage forever. You’ve got to draw the line at some point and just start taking action. Thanks for your input Dee.

Hi Terry
Thank you for the shout out about my checklists and planners. It was very good of you to mention them in your post!
You are soooooooooo right and I hope people are listening to what you are saying here…..
Because without a PLAN how the heck do you know what steps you need to take to take ?????
And if you don’t take ACTION on a regular basis then you are never going to achieve your goals.
Remember what they say…
An ounce of action is worth a TON of Theory!
And if it’s obvious that your goals cannott be reached Don’t adjust your goals – adjust your ACTION STEPS you need to take to achieve them.
Take care

Everyone should know about them. You also have a great blog full of great content that more people should know about. Good stuff like this shouldn’t go unnoticed.
Thanks for your input. I really like what you said “An ounce of action is worth a TON of Theory” Theory and action are important, but with out action nothing happens.

Thanks for the tweet action and your short and powerful comment. Action in a big way is the only way to get success.
You can go at your own reasonable pace but I would look at taking action in a big way to always be consistent and never giving up.
Taking action in a big way is to take all your resources, staying focused and consistently seriously moving forward.

Hi Terry, You’re absolutley right my friend, without taking action we achieve nothing all.
We can dream up long winded plans for evermore but they’re a waste of time if we don’t act on them. I know that from my early days when I was playing at being an internet marketer (as i like to put it)
You’re also right about everyone having good days and bad. That happens to us all and the best way of getting through it, in my opinion, is to come away and destress. Get your head together and come back the next day fired up for it.
Above all else people should remember that without taking action we achieve nothing and our dreams will forever remain just that….Dreams.
Take care Terry,

Looks like you got first hand experience on what it’s like to think, plan, organize and dream without taking action in your early days. Action pays off, doesn’t it?
If you didn’t think, plan, organize and take Action you’d still be in those early days. So glad to know you are moving forward Barry. I can see from going around the web, you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!
I like what you said about if you are having a bad day, really if anything comes your way that is irritating to walk away and reset and come back fresh ready to attack. Great way of dealing with hang ups.

Hi Terry,
“Out of all the gears that you need to reach your goals action is the master gear.”
Very, very true!
And action isn’t always an easy thing to do, especially in the beginning. But it’s like that analogy of pushing a car. It’s very hard at first, but once you get it rolling it gains momentum and it gets easier to push(and rolls along faster).
I hope you have a great action-packed day, Terry. :

Hi Peggy,
Starting is the hardest part. It’s like a muscle, when you first work it out it’s very painful. You’re not used to using it, but as you keep working it out, the muscle gets toned.
I like the car analogy. Once you start and build momentum things get to run a whole lot smoother. Anyway you look at it, once you get over the starting part and the more you learn as you go along, the better it gets.
Thanks very much for you input Peggy,

Cool Post Terry
It can sometimes be frightening to look at a plan and see how much is involved….
BUT – if it’s all broken down into small chunks, and we then just focus on the next small step – we all do get to where we ant to be eventually!
With a monthly goal and plan – it could be broken down into daily parts and even into morning and afternoon, so each time we look at what needs doing – it’s just a small chunk adding the ones we’ve already done
Hpe that helps

Terrific post mate and your so right you can have all the knowledge and the best laid plans, but it’s all meaningless unless you take action to attain them.
Goals won’t magically happen just because you’ve written them down and drawn up a plan.
The key to taking action on your goals is to integrate the goal’s action plan into your day-to-day routine and tasks, and that’s where it’s important to have Planners and Schedules.
“No action, no change. Limited action, limited change. Lots of action – Change occurs.”

The easy root is to just keep learning and doing the wrong tasks to get to our end goals. Like surfing the net and visiting social sites, forums and not utilizing our time correctly.

One should be reasonable and learn and move on to action and learn as you go. If you are going to make mistakes, make mistakes, even big ones. The bigger the honest mistake the more you learn.
The point here is , learning as you go is key to moving forward. Thanks for your good input, catch you later Craig.

Hi Terry,
Boy, after blog hopping today I can see that “action” is the keyword here
I’ve always said…in order to att”act” we must “act”…
Action is what sets the atoms in motion…they in turn fill our vision and soon we see our dreams manifest in the physical realm.
Without actions…our dreams remain just that…dreams…
Action is the physical step needed to manifest in the physical realm…
Following an plan of action is even better because it helps to keep us focused and moving forward.

I haven’t been taking any action for a while now because I realised that information marketing, list building etc. just wasn’t for me. Money is a great driving force and years ago I had that drive but not any longer.
Interest is what drives me and despite thinking it held no appeal for me, Ebay has become a source of inspiration. I have started selling on the worlds biggest marketing platform and have to admit I am loving it and the bonus is I am making a few pounds as well.
Where it leads I don’t know but I find it fascinating what people are prepared to buy. So I am selling via the internet, does that make me an internet marketer at last?

Hi there Bill,
Very glad to know you are doing something you like on the Internet
(eBay) and making some money as a bonus.
I believe it makes you and internet seller because the only place you are marketing is on eBay. OK you are an eBay marketer.
If what you are selling on eBay turns out real good for you. You have a boat load of Internet Marketing knowledge you can put into action.
Speaking of action Bill, you took your interest or what ever you want to call it and took some action on eBay and it is proving to be enjoyable for you. You are even getting a money bonus out of it. (good sign perhaps)
I think if you didn’t take any action you would not have had any inspiration. I think you would have nothing at all. Zero, zip, nadda.
I don’t know exactly what you’re doing on eBay but if does go somewhere I think you should put your good Internet Marketing knowledge to use.
Wishing you much enjoyment and LOTS OF MONEY on eBay and then perhaps LOTS OF MONEY on the world wide web.
What really matters is if you’re happy, I’m happy.

Most people get stuck because they spend too much time collecting information. Not acting for so long makes you forget how to do it. Maybe that’s why i prefer the trial and error lessons life gives us. You get there faster.

Hello Richard,
Not acting on what you know sure does make you forget what you’ve learned. In the end it’s just wasted knowledge.
Learn and take action, just do it. Just do it, is key. Trail and and error will happen, what you said Bill sure does make a whole lot of sense. Doing nothing is a big waste.
Keep on keeping on,
Terry Conti

A lot of people, including me, are overwhelmed with all the goals they have in mind and taking action to achieve them. There are times that taking small actions may feel like you’ll never see the fruits of your labor. Feels like you’ll never ever going to make a dent. But I hope this does not discourage you. Success is inevitable to those who commit to take small action everyday. It all adds up after a while. It’s ust a matter of time.

Hi Bob,
You are so right. Sometimes I feel like I’m taking water out of an ocean with a spoon but as the saying goes a long journey starts with the first step.
Given the drive and determination you will reach the end no matter how long or hard it may be. Keep on keeping on,

Right on, Terry. Just a little bit of action is enough to start building momentum, and momentum makes further action that much easier. Momentum is a word I use a lot, but I like your analogy of a set of gears. When your action sets the first gear in motion, all other gears in the system are affected, and real change happens. Thanks for the insight.
Bobby

Hello Bob,
Thanks for visiting my blog. Good way to look at it. When action is taken you build momentum.
Just like bicycle gears, when you change to higher gears you go faster on flat ground and build momentum. Good input Bob.
