Understanding and getting
Hello everyone, I hope your holidays were great and the New Year brings good things. I want to open up the New Year with a topic that can help all of us get more visitors to our web pages, free traffic. There are many ways to generate free traffic. Traffic= Sales, No Traffic= No sales.

Getting free traffic to what you have online involves work. You just can’t put something up on the web and think people are going to come to it. It just doesn’t work that way.
If you put your web site, squeeze page, blog etc.. on the web and you don’t do something to get traffic to your content it will just sit there on the web, like putting something on a self and forgetting about it.
If you don’t want to do a lot of work for traffic then pay for it. There is nothing wrong with paying for traffic, it works but some don’t want to spend the money or some people do both. What do you do? What works for you?
Remember as I said before there is work to be done if you want to send free traffic to your blog, website, squeeze page etc… I will outline some free traffic getting methods for you to wrap you mind around. List Building- All you do online as an Internet Marketer should be geared toward building your mailing list. It is most important. Building up a list of people who are interested in who you are on the web, your products, affiliated products, blog, website is very powerful because these people are letting you know they are interested by submitting their email address to you. You can’t narrow it down any further when working with a list of people who have raised their hand letting you know they are interested in what you have to offer, great for traffic, great for sales. The bigger you grow your list, the better. There is a correct way to do this. You can find out all about it on a recent post I wrote titled Why is a Mailing List Soo Important?
Blog Commenting- Blog commenting on blogs you are interested in and leaving your views not only creates back-links which is good for search engines but you can create a very good lasting relationship with blog owners and others. When you leave a quality comment on someone’s blog everyone sees it and it’s a great way to get the blog owner and other people to know who you are. The more you blog comment the better it is for your own blog or website because of the back-link that is created. When you leave a blog comment the blog owner and others can come and visit your blog to leave comments and check out what you have. Become popular by blog commenting and your blog will become popular. Video Marketing- There is an enormous amount of video websites out on the web. http://www.youtube.com is very popular. The more videos you post on Video websites, the better. Be creative and intelligently provide value by creating a video that can lead to a squeeze page, blog, website, anywhere you deem necessary. If the video is good you can generate some good free traffic for yourself. You don’t have to use a video camera if you don’t want to. You can use your photos, your music, even video clips and make a really good professional looking slide show. There is a website http://www.animoto.com if you want to create a slide show video. Social bookmarking- Anywhere a whole lot of people get together to discuss various subjects is where you can get involved and use keen marketing strategies. Provide value, get involved and recommend, do not blatantly advertise. Get to know the rules of each website you sign up with. Affiliate Marketing- Creating your own informational product and having affiliates promote it for you with related links within to your blog, website even another info product can bring in traffic and/or sales. The related link or links within your informational products can spread like a virus. The more sales you and your affiliates generate the more the links within get passed around. One thing I want to make you aware of depending on what you’re writing about, one must keep related links to a minimum otherwise your informational product will just look like one big advertisement instead of an informational product which is supposed to provide value. Outright advertising is a big turn off. Article Marketing- Article marketing is very powerful if done right. There are an enormous amount of article websites out there. I know it’s a lot of work however submit articles to as many article websites as possible. It is worth it. All successful marketers use article marketing to generate traffic. Make sure you follow the rules of each individual article website. Articles must be your own work, not copied. At the end of your article there is what is called a Bio Box- that’s where you explain who you are and leave a link to your related content. Forums- There are forms on the Internet about any conceivable subject you can imagine. Getting involved with online forums will bring in a good amount of traffic to your related subject matter however, you just can’t blatantly advertise. You must get involved in what’s being talked about, provide value, ask questions, answer questions and develop a good reputation. This will bring traffic to any links you strategically provide. When signing up with a particular forum you will have the opportunity to create a user name and provide links to your website. Always understand the rules before joining any online forum for what you can and cannot do. A very good and most popular forum for Internet marketers is the Warrior forum You will see a lot of successful marketers there. You will also learn a lot too, it’s a great place for learning. eBay- There is an enormous amount of traffic that comes to eBay. eBay will only allow you to ship a physical product so your are going to have to put your information product on a disk. Within your information product disk you can provide strategically placed links to your online content, even to your squeeze page to build your mailing list. The main strategy about eBay is to sell a low priced item which leads to your higher priced item off ebay through the use of links. Another strategy would be to sell a bunch of your products, even affiliate products on one disk at a reduced price. You shouldn’t only be out to make a sale. Using strategically placed links within your information products disk can provide you with traffic to your online content.
