How to Kill Information Overload
The way to kill information overload is STOP BUYING too many informational marketing products. Kill informational overload by learning and then taking action steps everyday toward your business. Don’t get caught up in buying info product after info product.
Only buy an informational marketing product if you truly need it and intend to use it. Don’t buy informational marketing products just because you want to find out how to make easy money. If it tells or smells like it’s screaming easy money- Run Away.
LISTEN UP EVERYONE
THERE IS NO EASY MONEY, ONLINE & OFF LINE UNLESS YOU EARN YOUR WAY TO EASY MONEY
WORK AND DETERMINATION (NEVER GIVING UP AND SOME MONEY INVESTMENT) =
MONEY AND SUCCESS
I hate to break the news to you despite all the fluff advertising you get exposed to out there. No one earns money without some money investment and personal drive. If you think you can start an on going, fruitful, serious, online informational marketing business with ZERO money out lay, you are dreaming.
- Website
- domain name
- hosting
- auto responder
Above is only the beginning there is more like graphics and …
I’m not going to get into what’s needed to start an online informational marketing business. The point here is, yes there is money to be spent (Welcome to life) however, the beauty of it all is the cost of starting an online informational product business compared to opening up a traditional business in the real world is really nothing. That’s amazing!
Work and determination are key. If you think you are going to get anywhere with online informational marketing despite all the crazy advertising out there, know there is work to do. The concepts of online marketing are easy to grasp.
It’s the doing and having the determination to follow through on those concepts that is hard, especially when you don’t see any money coming in right off.
Don’t get sucked into all the fluff advertising that is out there, be real to yourself. Read through and notice all the crap out there. Distinguish your self from the rest and you will get noticed.
THE BIG MISTAKE- There are tons of people out there that do not stop buying informational products. They buy info product after info product because most advertisements are so blown up people think they can make easy money.
With all the juicy hyped up make money advertisements out there people buying are giving money to all the hype monsters to find out it’s all baloney.
They even spend more money on more products, they go for the next big exciting make money scheme with the same results and it becomes a never ending cycle looking for that easy money key.
Then information overload sets in and you’ve wasted a ton of money and your brain is like Swiss cheese.
Even if you are not looking for easy money and realize that it takes work and determination to succeed you still can get caught in the trap of not knowing your right from your left.
You’ve bought so many info products you come to the point you don’t what is what. You ask your self how should I start? How do I do this? How do I do that? At this point you are lost and keep looking for more.
You come to the point where you have a hard time distinguishing the good informational products from the bad ones. Your brain is like Swiss cheese.
Listen, buy only one good solid info product and proceed to learn and finish it at your own pace. Then purchase more only according to your needs, make sure it’s going to be useful to you. Stop looking for easy money.
Stick and finish one product before going to another. Go through the learning stage but right after TAKE ACTION EVERYDAY and you wont have an information overload problem anymore.
If you are infected with informational overload, kill it by using a reliable informational product and TAKE ACTION EVERYDAY toward your business and stop buying more informational products. You must reach a point to stop buying and start doing.
Do something everyday toward your business no matter how large or small. Don’t get yourself down if you only do small things from time to time each step counts. The main thing is that you have the determination to keep going and going.
Fact everyone should know- Unlike all the hype out there, with any info marketing product you buy, you will come across hurdles, ups and downs and roadblocks in your informational marketing business just like anything else in life.
When confronted with obstacles, that’s when most people give themselves excuses and give up. It all boils down to how bad you want it. Get knowledgeable and TAKE ACTION EVERYDAY AND BE PREPARED FOR OBSTACLES.
When purchasing an informational marketing product that you believe will help you, make sure there is support so you are not alone. What I mean is when you come across obstacles you can get the help you need. An informational product that comes with a forum is a great example.
When an informational product comes with a forum you know it’s a sound investment because when you run into obstacles you can get help from others who bought the very same info product.
Helping each other and not being alone is important to moving forward in your informational marketing business. Even products that don’t have a forum are good although, they should come with some type of help support. (for example- a helpdesk, contact email address)
There is a lot of advertising out there where the advertiser is just so full of it. Read this post on John Thornhill’s blog and see what it’s like out there when trying to find some good solid honest informational products.
Not only is there hype, there is clear evidence that some marketers will do what ever they can in order to get a sale instead of providing value. It’s come to to point where we must not only watch out for hype (blown up, out of proportion hidden lies) but direct out in the open lies.
With all these direct open lies, makes you wonder what the info product is like. Check out the post on John Thornhill’s blog. http://planetsmsblog.com/rant-were-not-stupid/ John Thronhill is one of the best honest marketers out there. He truly tells it like it is, great teacher too.
Are you prepared to work for yourself? Are you prepared to take the time and effort needed by doing some work? Are you going to be careful in what you are buying into? Do you have to power and determination to succeed?
Kill your information overload, stop buying all the get rich quick fluff and lies and buy from some one who has a reputation of getting results.
Here are some information overload killer products that will certainty get you on your way to reach your goals. If you are serious and not looking for easy money fluff and lies and finally want to get results by applying yourself, then check out these solid real honest products.
Check out the John Thornhill Masterclass program. Leave your name and e-mail address in the optin-box above (or on the home page of this blog). Also Get this controversial free report Why You’ll Never Succeed Online. This is a 36 week detailed home study course designed to get you to learn and take action. You can get all the help you need when you run into obstacles through the Masterclass forum. How do I know this home study course delivers. I am a student. Check out my other blog posts about my course summaries. This blog for example wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the course. There is so much to learn here in a structured organized environment.
I believe the next best thing if you can not join the Masterclass program right now to is to check out Resell Rights Blueprint This is a seven day home study course that will also give you a great structured education about online marketing. How do I know? I’ve bought and used the product myself and I think it’s very informative and paves to way for you to take action and get results.
These two products are information overload killers that will make your head stop spinning. They will put you on track to starting an online informational marketing business only if action is taken.
Choose one and stick with it and forget all the other crap that is coming at you stuffing your brain. Learning, staying focused, applying and not to deviate will kill information overload.

Hi Terry, what an excellent post my friend. I wish i had read this when i first started out.
Your advice is absolutely spot on. When i first started i bought a disc of 30,000 info products, talk about jumping in the deep end. My brain was frazzled from the first day and still would be if i hadn’t listened to similar advice.
Your point about buy one product and finish it before buying another is a great way to start and one that i highly recommend your readers follow.
I totally agree with your recommendation for the Masterclass as well Terry, i was a bit like a puppy chasing his tail until John opened my eyes to the right way of doing things and my knowledge and business has grown ever since. He really does show you how to do things correctly and the methods used are exactly the same as ones John uses for his own business.
Great post Terry, keep them coming mate.

Hi Barry, Yes key point is to do one info product at a time but more important is to follow through. John Thornhill’s Masterclass Program (36 week home study course) is a great information overload killer however I put in another information overload killer Resell Rights Blueprint (7 Day home study course) because it is also a great product to start an online informational marketing business and for those who can’t afford the Masterclass Program.

Hi Fran, thanks for your good thoughts. My info product will be done, that is a fact. I want it to be quality and I truly want it to help others. I am going at my own pace. Getting it done will allow me to continue with the John Thornhill Master Class course. I’ve been stuck on week 19 and will continue to write my blog course summaries as well.

Hi Terri…
Thankfully I realized what caused it and I am much more focused and targeted about what I buy in this online game now.
Excellent advice my friend
I know what its like to have “swiss cheese” brain
How true it is that we should finish whatever project we have bought into before starting a new one. And, taking the action steps you spoke about is the key to success in any endeavor. Buying more and more info products is not the action steps I am talking about!
I do feel as though this info is the first info that should be brought to the attention of any newbies that come aboard. I wish someone would have taken me by the hand and made me realize this very early on. Basically I learned it the hard way…but learn it I did!
As Barry said above…I was running in circles until I joined John Thornhill’s class. John simply took everything I was reading about and learning and put it into a cohesive whole for me…put the puzzle pieces together and showed me in what order they went in.
Priceless course…priceless information. Anyone newbie reading this should consider John’s course if they are really interested in making money online.
Ok..nuff said…thanks again Terri for this valuable info…hopefully the newbies…and others that land here will heed it!

Hi Kathy, me too. I was suffering from information overload and there has to come a point where you draw the line and start doing. Only buy an info product if you need it.
Too many people are looking for an answer they will never find. Too many people are looking for that easy money. Watch out for all the crap marketing out there that is blown up and hyped and full of lies. Purchase a good solid honest product, draw the line and start doing I say.
The John Thornhill Masterclass course will kill your information overload and actually bring you results if you are ready to do work and apply yourself.
Also so will Resell Rights Blueprint for a lower cost. Thanks for your thoughts Kathy. Yes I do hope people at large will wake up and understand what this post is communicating.

Hi Terry
Good to see you back in blogland. Your post should be compulsive reading for all newbies in IM. No- it should be compulsive reading for the experienced as well!
Fortunately I have not fallen into the trap myself. Apart from the MC course and Ed Dales ‘The Challenge’ (which was free and a great accompaniment to the MC)I have only purchased one other product, with which I hope to launch a service soon.

Good post Terry.
Your honesty will both shock and inform folks who are interested in internet marketing.
I’ve been involved with a few offline businesses and they are the same to set up as online. Lots of upfront effort and investment and plenty more work and hoping that everything falls into place before any results are seen.
If anything, this online effort can be tougher because we have to “go it alone” albeit with the support of folks like you.
Thank you for being a part of my supporting team Terry, I am certainly proud to be a part of yours.
Have a grand day, pal.

But when the money ran dry, I had to focus on one method and put myseff on a buying ban, that’s when I actually started seeing some success.
So I agree with you 100% you have to KILL INFORMATION OVERLOAD in order to find success online.

Hi Terry
I came over fron Thu’s site to visit and this article has actually been my experience on the net! I started off with internet marketing site that was absolutely waste of time and money. I have spent so much on coaching (that was complete scam!) info products most of which I got refunds for as they too were not what they purported to be and then I came into the blogosphere and what a difference.
I have found bloggers who encourage me and give me information and techie help without charging and now I am part of a community where we all give out as well as receive from one another.
I sure have experienced information overload and now I am not buying any more products till I put into practice all that I am meant to be doing to monetize my blog and start earning fronm it. Thanks for such an informative post. Glad I visited.

You tell it like it is, Terry! I’m sure many of us have fallen into the dollar sucking trap of buying products that sounded great.
They all require real work to make it happen. I do believe there are different ways of making money online – some of which appeal more to one type of person than another. Find a respected person who has already traveled the road you wish to – and then hang on to every word they say and actually do what they suggest.
That is where so many fall down – they seem to have an expectation that somehow, after reading the “right” words, riches will plop into their lap.
Nope – still got to do the work!
There is no quick easy way but you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.

One powerful post! I think we all fall into the IO in the beginning. It’s hard to differentiate what’s good and what isn’t. Instead we’re not looking at who, we’re looking at what. For yourself, you’ve found John and he has taught you well. I’m glad you’re out of that mess because for a lot of us, that’s still a problem.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us on mastering our destiny online and through finding out how we can overcome it. The thing that stood out was I don’t want Swiss Cheese brain!

Well said Terry; Stop buying is the answer.
I implemented this policy about 10 months ago, and I’m gradually working through what I’ve got on my hard drive. – I’m finding some pleasant surprises.
I’ve got some ‘header’ graphics I had forgotten about, which is great for new websites.
Once you stop buying stuff the information overload starts to drain away, and everything starts to make sense. Also if you stop looking at new purchases, you have time to actually DO SOMETHING with the old ones.
Bill Murney was either lucky or very clever to find the Masterclass so quickly. It was over a year before I found it, but having that plan has given me a purpose and direction to my efforts. I don’t need to look at, or buy anything else.
This was a great post Terry, I’m looking forward to your next one.

Hi Terry,
I completely agree 100%
Boy can I relate to the information over load! Plus I was an internet marketers dream over the last 3 years. I was only chatting to sally the other day about the amount of products I have collecting dust on my hard drive that I have bought and haven’t even gone through yet!
However my money ran out half way through this year when I finally bought a car! Now when ever I get promoted a product I always question “Do I need this” “Will I do this” ‘Will this benefit my business”
I now never buy on launch. The way I figure it, is if the product is good, it will stay online and be available in the future as I can afford it.
I hope everything is going well for you!
See you back here soon!
Cheers
Jacinta

Hi Terry,
Great post that will help some people to avoid the buying spree trap.
Some may not pay heed though if they are like me. I’d been warned and yet bought a way more than I should have.
Now I can be sure that there’s no easy button that will make things happen fast.
I’m also 100% sure that I have not missed anything by not buying totally every product possible.
Having such a brought overview of what is out there was partly my goal too so I don’t consider the money spent a complete waste.
I remember saying to myself this is the last product I’m buying several times.
But I have stopped now and the new ever coming offers keep me cool and I let them go buy without feeling I’m going to miss on something.
It is clear that it’s hard work and smart work that will get us what we want.
Cheers,

The quest for the magic button will always continue whilst the copy boys and girls churn out their chosen words of entrapment. We buy into it because our very nature makes us lazy and we seek the easiest path.

Hi Terry,
This post gave me a chuckle, and I don’t know how I could’ve overlooked it before. =)
Frank Kern wrote something similar on his blog ages ago and he dared his readers to stop buying, pull out every product and system they ever bought, dust off their office chair, and then sit and go through all the material they’ve collected.
Often, because of great selling techniques and because these people are already in the mindset of looking for a system, they buy more because they feel they don’t have enough information yet. Some system is always being sold that supplements something else, and they believe they won’t succeed without it!
However, often they have all the resources they need to get started. You’re right: they just need to do it!

I totally agree. There’s no such thing as easy money. A lot of people tend to buy one info product after the other with the intention of acquiring money more easily. This can lead to a much bigger problem. Instead, one should focus on working hard to improve whatever they have. There are a lot of things you’ll learn in the process, and buying these info products might not be necessary anymore. A lot of them are just quick fixes and does not provide TRUE solutions.
