The 100 Comment Challenge- what a ride! Lets keep the list Alive!
Hi everyone, what a ride it’s been. I never thought I would manage to get over 200 comments on my 100 comment challenge blog post- click on the link to that post because it can be a great insightful learning experience about ClickBank.
Now that the 100 comment challenge is over, I can get back to the John Thornhill Masterclass Program, I left off at week 19. The 100 comment challenge has put everything to a halt, with over 200 comments replying and social bookmarking everything, it has been some ride.
I’ve been writing course summaries on this blog about the John Thornhill Masterclass program. Check them out and learn about marketing online. If you want in depth information and are serious about Internet Marketing become a student. You won’t regret it. In fact by applying yourself you will advance to heights you never thought were possible. John Thornhill is a great mentor.
Just take a look at this blog, it would not be possible if it were not for the John Thornhill Masterclass Program. This is only one example, there is so much more to this course.
I’ve gotten up to week 19 with the lesson summaries and will be continuing very soon. Right now I have to finish my eBook called Learn the eBook Business (watch out for it).
I want to thank everyone who participated in the 100 comment challenge. Your comments truly have given me some very good insight about ClickBank.
I truly hope the comments have also helped others as well because this is what this blog is all about. It makes my day when others benefit, what a great feeling!
The 100 comment challenge is a great success, not only did we all get great comments on our blogs, got social bookmarked and made some good friends but most of all it was a good learning experience for everyone.
Let’s keep the 100 comment list alive and make even more friends. What we learn can be invaluable plus, we can all become stronger.
We all blog hop all the time. We visit so many blogs and leave comments that most of the time we get nothing in return, except to create a back link. I’m not saying to stop doing this but, let’s all have a truly reliable list. A good source to go to work our blogs. Lets keep the 100 comment challenge list ALIVE! Let us not only help each other but let us be known to help everyone who has a blog.
Tell all, this is a list of people who have blogs who will social bookmark you and comment back on your blog if you do the same. The people on this list took a challenge to be serious about their blogs and will work to help themselves and others.
Let’s keep blog hopping our 100 comment challenge list. Lets keep it going indefinitely now that we have a good list of people who will want the same thing you want- which is BLOG COMMENTS and to be SOCIAL BOOKMARKED!
Not only that but as you know reading other blog posts can be a great learning experience. As you know everybody wins! Here is the list just in case you don’t have it- The 100 Comment List
If you are in agreement with what I’m saying here keep the 100 comment list alive by putting the list some where plainly visible on the home page of your blog just like I did in the upper right hand corner up there. It will be a sign that you are keeping the list alive.
It will mean you will comment back and social bookmark all your blog post comments. The more we get known the more people with blogs will come to this list. As for me as always, I will comment back on your blog and social bookmark you on twitter. Lets get known through out the internet.
Pass this information on so everyone will know, even people who aren’t on the list can leave comments on the blogs on the list and they will be sure to have a response back on their blogs as well, even get social bookmarked because we have a reputation of social bookmarking and commenting. Lets build up this reputation. Lets not forget this is all about learning and contributing quality. What I mean is No matter what anyone says, it’s your best that counts.
Lets make the 100 comment list a reliable source for people to go to.
Please note: The intent of the 100 comment list is to have insightful posts, leave insightful comments and social bookmark as a result we can become stronger and knowledgeable through our quality contributions. You can do as you wish with your blog and your comments, they are yours. Be aware that if you write garbage and leave garbage comments just to get by, your input will have its odors and will smell through out the internet. Be aware- PEOPLE WILL NOTICE.
Alex Whalley wrote a realistic view of the 100 comment challenge without any hoopla and what it’s like out there in the blog world. I really do no not disagree with him, some points are touchy some points are good. As a whole it makes sense. There is something good to learn no matter how his post hits you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I do disagree with some of his commentators.
Check out his post and lets keep the 100 comment list alive by doing it right and show up some of his commentators who are missing the intent of the 100 comment challenge and list- http://alexwhalley.com/startingout/blogging-by-dummies/comment-page-1/#comments
As you read the comments, again special thanks to Jacinta Dean who went into the ring for us newbies.

Hi Terry, a good summary of the challenge. It was a really great adventure and I read some amazing blogs I would never have come across without participating in the challenge. I have left the list on my blog too as I want to visit the blogs again too.
Enjoy the journey.

HTerry,
Good to hear you got a lot from the 100 blog challenge.
And it’s a lovely thought to keep it alive
In practice I doubt you’ll be able to keep up with all the bloggers, However – I’m sure it will lead on to some great relationships with others on the list, and lets be frank – just a few relationships can and will help you and them to move their business forward… so it has to be a good thing.
There are a few I will keep popping round and naturally – It’ll be worth keeping a close eye on Jacinta, from bimbo moment she has grown through this to being a respected player on the blogging scene – so it’ll be cool to see how she progresses
Warm Regards

Hi Randy how are you what’s doing? All good I hope. You are right I don’t think it’s going to be as intense as the 100 comment challenge however no matter what it is a great resource for everyone if done right.
Jacinta Dean is most definitely one to watch. Thanks for everything Jacinta.

Great sum up of the 100 comments challenge. I’ve seen so many blog posting about it and always loved to read and hear more of what people think about the challenge. Seem like everyone did have fun with it, the 100 comment challenge is totally a great way to connect with other blogger and learn more through each other experience. I agree with you that Jacinta is the one we need to keep our watch on!

Hi Terry,
I too will keep the list alive on my blog. With the gems, I want to increase the numbers and introduce readers to new blogs as well. This has taught me a great deal about building relationships online and without this challenge I wouldn’t have known that.
Jacinta is definitely someone I’m going to follow. Furthermore, her idea spawned posts all over the web, comments and even an aftermath, plus the gems. Now if that funnel isn’t genius, I don’t know what is.
Looking forward to learning more from you!

Thanks for tweeting me. This reminded me of 100 comment challenge.
So here I am and read your blog post about 100 comments. It gave me a lot of exposure to net working. It showed me different types of blogs, so much diversity, it was a great experience.
Your post is great. Some of us are keeping it up even now which is good.

Hi Terry,
Ohhh Geee. You are making me blush!!
And yes it was a little fun, putting the stilettos on and going into bat for the newbies. It is that mother hen instinct I have!!
Re the challenge,
WHAT AN EXHAUSTING, AWESOME, EXHILARATING RIDE all at the same time!
I was exhausted!
The experience was humbling to watch a pebble effect! My idea was a pebble being dropped into an ocean that caused waves instead of ripples!
The biggest thing I got out of it all was the sense of community and the power of community. It went well beyond the commenting for me. It became more about watching people come together and really trying to grow together.
The innocent spirit of it all was awesome.
Now re keeping the list and challenges alive. I will always keep the list on my blog, and regarding new challenges. I have been chatting to Randy on that one about people joining his forum instead of creating a new one.
I will be writing a post within a week as soon as we organise a few things. There are already a few of us in that forum and he already has a lot of things set up in there, so it just made sense to me.
I will keep you posted.
Cheers
Jacinta

You are one awesome dude and I am so glad to know that you exist, mister. And I uh, want to be on your side…

I also enjoyed the challenge. I keep myself updated on it time and time again, and it was truly a nice idea to keep the aim knowing the benefit it will bring. Now the idea of keeping the relationship online was alive. It was truly a great thought to participate and communicate to some other Internet Marketer friends. I just love the feeling.

Hi Terry,
Great review of the 100 Blog Comments challenge! I must admit that when I started I thought it was going to be a major chore…and it was. The difference was that I was really enjoying doing it!
I found so many wonderful enlightening blogs and wow how many smart bloggers I ran into! Gained a lot of respect and will follow a handful on a permanent basis.
This has just been an excellent exercise for all involved!
Thanks for keeping it alive…I still have the active link on my blog too;)

Hi Terry,
Personally I was never able to complete the challenge due to technical difficulties (my comp died and therefore so did my access). However, I do still intend to visit each of the blogs and comment, better late than never I hope.
From what I can tell, people generally had fun, there was perhaps appeared to be a small minority who maybe took it the wrong way, hence prompting Alex’s post. But then some of his commentators also took the whole point of the event the wrong way too. As Jacinta said, everyone was a newbie at some point.
I certainly believe that Jacinta will have come out of this well, despite ‘problems’, with the way that she handled the comments, always acting with dignity whilst defending the newbies.
Regards
Simon

Hi Terry,
I do keep the list and intend to visit and comment as time allows just like I’m doing now. I won’t be posting it on my blog though because not everyone on it has been active.
I’ve always seen a great value in commenting and interacting with other bloggers and aspiring or full fledged internet marketers.
Jacinta Dean has been on my list of blogs to visit for a long time and I know that she made good friends through my blog with Sally Neill.
In the same manner I have discovered great people and blogs by visiting other blogs and finding new interesting people and blogs in the comment section.
A blog needs to be interacting with other blogs and the more interactions the better.
The quality and genuine interest is very important though as you point out in your own way.
I look forward to your comments and will visit your blog periodically to see what you are up to.
Cheers,

Hi Vance, I do agree a blog must visit other blogs and interact. Meeting new people (such as yourself) , giving your view points by commenting about the post all help, the more the better. Most of all learning is key.
A good blog should help others. The best part is that you can interact. It’s not just a one way street. The beauty of it all is that you create followers and at the same time you follow others for enlightenment as well.
It’s a shame some people don’t work their blogs. It’s really not work, it’s like sitting down and picking up good interesting articles to read.
It used to be and still is some articles are just a one way street. A blog article is a two way street. That makes it so much better.
Thanks for the good words Vance,

Hi Terry, I got here at last.
It’s great to see that you got so much out of the challenge and will try to keep it going by adding the page to your blog.
I also like the fact that you mentioned the quality of posts and comments. I did notice some people slacking in that area and will be addressing that in a later post on my blog.
One thought for the slackers:
Where’s there’s rubbish……there’s Rats and your blog should be worth more than that. Not you Terry, i’m talking to the poor bloggers here mate.
I have read Alex’s post and have mixed thoughts on it, so i intend to do a little research before i comment. Yes he does raise some very valid points but i think he’s generalized to much and slung us all into one category. Which i think is very harsh, but like i said i’ll do some research before leaving my comment.
With regard to keeping it alive: I fully understand what you mean, however I’ll be amending my page of contributors to show those that completed the challenge as it should have been. Those that added their link and left do not deserve any form of link love and will find themselves removed from my list.
While those that completed it will have their links changed to their home pages so as to keep them current at all times. Those links (which will include yours) will have a permanent place on my blog as a sign of the respect that i have for them.
As for blog hopping being a good form of traffic, pop over to Sally Neill’s blog and see her new video, which is detailing the top ten people sending traffic to her blog in August. I was totally shocked by it, and very very grateful.
Catch up soon Terry, have a great weekend mate.
Best of luck to you Terry, catch up again soon my friend.
Respect and Regards, Barry

Hi Barry, as for the slacker’s in the 100 comment challenge I don’t think there are too many so I don’t think you are going to have to edit the list that much. The challenge was better than anyone expected. There is a world of difference between a slacker and a newbie doing his/her best so all should be aware.
Alex stated that he did 25% of the challenge. Just like someone in our forum stated I think he should have contributed more and done 100% of the challenge and then passed his comments but, it looked like he saw a lot of newbie traits and robot tactics and couldn’t be bothered any more so I ask how does one get started?
Isn’t building a community what it’s all about? The rats who are mingling in garbage will all NATURALLY get canned out. The intent and aim, purpose of the 100 comment challenge is great. It’s about getting insight, making friends and helping each other, experienced or not. We all get some SEO kick to our blogs and have a great learning experience and gain so much. There is absolutely no wrong in that. Give and you shall receive.
Sally Neil’s video is a prime example of helping each other out, in all the areas mentioned. Her blog is a top notch informative blog. I’ve gotten some great knowledge from her blog and will continue to do so in the future.
If it weren’t for the challenge I wouldn’t have known anything about Sally Neil and her great blog and it’s not only Sally Neil. There are a lot more people I’ve connected with. The 100 comment list is great for helping each other and others and others but each time we make contact with someone we met on this list the 100 comment challenge is ALIVE.
Cheers to the 100 comment challenge.

Hi Terry, when i referred to the slackers I was talking of the veteran bloggers that didn’t stick to the commitment they made when agreeing to take part.
I thought the newbies done a fantastic job and in my opinion done better than some veterans. When you think that most veterans are full time marketers where as most of the newbies are holding down full time jobs and family commitments. So the fact that they took part and tried their best speaks volumes about them and they will not have their links removed.
