THE TOUGH GET GOING & THE WEAK GIVE UP

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by.  Yes I’m still alive and kicking.  It’s taking longer than I expected to keep up with the John Thornhill Masterclass program.  I make time everyday.  I will get over this hump as you will see.  I also know that in the future there will be many more humps to over come.   It’s just the way life is.

I’m calm and know I will finish this course.  I will continue to tell you all about the course and my experiences as I have been.  I want you to know I have no choice and have to go at my own pace in order to get things done the right way.

I feel like once I get my ebook and sales page completed I can begin to speed things up naturally.  The nature of what I’m doing is slowing me down right now. My ebook and sales page are at the final stages but boy are the final stages long to finish.  I’m even thinking of adding another chapter to my ebook.

The good side of things is that I’ve taught my self how to do graphics and full sales page all on my own instead of outsourcing.  I didn’t want to order graphics because I wanted to learn how it’s done.  I spent a lot of time going back and doing it again and again if necessary, even again.  Yes it was a pain but I’ve learned how to do it.

It did take up a lot of my time and I wouldn’t stop till I got them exactly the way I wanted.  It did not want them to look cheesy and non professional.  If it wound up that way then, I would have went and ordered graphics.

I didn’t have to order graphics, through hard work I’ve succeeded all on my own.  When it comes around to do graphics again for another product, it won’t be as hard.   Know that learning took time and doing took a lot of time as well.

I can take what I learned and possibly create another product soon about ebook graphics, sales pages and banners.  Food for thought for another future product?  See how things always pop into your head in this business for you to monetize on.

As a beginner at this using and also learning Photoshop it wasn’t easy for me but I am happy, very happy I did it!  Like anything else once you know how it’s done it’s not as bad as you may think.  The more you do it the easier it gets.  Also the learning never stops.

It would probably take someone who knows how to use Photoshop no time to create an ebook cover and banner.  I don’t what to tell you how long it took me to do this but I don’t care how long it took,  I DID IT!  What do you think?

Here is the banner I created for my sales page

It’s all about determination.  Now all I have to do  so I can continue with the John Thornhill Master Class Program is finish the ebook and sales page at my own pace.

Despite taking a lot of time learning and doing my own graphics, the John Thornhill Masterclass course is more than half way through now, I think this is the part of the masterclass course where the tough get going and the weak just give up.

I’m noticing the master class forum  isn’t as busy as it used to be than at the beginning.   Also some student’s aren’t posting to their blog’s the way they used  to.  I make time to post to my blog regardless if anyone reads it or not because I aim to succeed.

I go to other students blog’s and leave comments.  Getting people to comment on my blog is like pulling teeth now.

Then I go to other blogs on Internet marketing and leave comments, no one really responds back to my blog.  That’s Ok because it’s not the only way to promote your blog, you know.  It’s just one of the many ways.  Although you do need to be active in  this.

What I need to do is work my blog by leaving links to my blog in all my works, articles, youtube, facebook, my list and on and on.  It will come.  Not just your blog but all your works must be promoted correctly.

Do not take this the wrong way.  I’m not being negative here.  All I’m saying is that the tough get going and the weak give up.

The John Thornhill Master Class program is worth every penney,  if you are going to get and take this course, be prepared to work.  That’s what life is all about in anything you do.  You bust your rear end to enjoy the rewards.  There is no easy street.

If you are looking for a job no one is going to give you money for no work.  The same goes for an online business although the work can be so much better because you are working for yourself.

So what I’m saying here is when you get all those emails or come across advertisements all hyped up to make you big  money today, know that it’s all a way to make your brain think that big easy money can be obtained easily- right now.

Don’t get sucked in to all the hype.  Be serious if you are going to start your own online business.  It’s just like getting a job except that you are creating your own job for yourself full circle to call your own business.

The best part about it is when it comes to the ebook business the cost to start up verses traditional business is really NOTHING and the potential to earn money is enormous, if done right.

People need to see the light about the ebook business excluding all the hype and that’s what my ebook Learn the eBook Bussiness is going to be all about.

The test will come when things get hard.  That’s when the Tough get going and the weak give up.

  1. Hi Terry, congratulations on producing your own graphics. Like you say, now you know how…………..

I have also noticed that the forum has slowed down, in fact i put up a request for advice and only had one responce yet over 30 views.

Don’t forget though Terry it is the summer and some people are away on holidays and others are busy creating their products.

I think there have been plenty give up as well though Terry, like you said the tough get going……

I try and post comments on lots of blogs, especially the MC blogs but i have also noticed that many MC students don’t do the same. Don’t let it put you off Terry, you stick to what you’re doing mate, you’ll notice that you’ll have the same circle of people doing the rounds. They’re the ones with the long term view that will keep doing what they do as they know it leads to success.

Best of luck with the rest of your product creation (sales page etc). You’ll get there my friend.

    Regards, Barry

Hey Barry, me relying to you like this wouldn’t be possible if it was not for your quality info. The 100 comment challenge made me stop what I was doing with my ebook and made me implement what you had told me a little while back. I also realize when things need to be done, you just have to make time if you don’t have any. T.

  5. Hi Terry

WOW creating your own eBook AND graphics, I hope you feel very proud of yourself because you should, you are doing a great job.

I am feeling a little bit disillusioned at the moment, my eBook is not going as well as I wanted so I have put it on the ‘back burner’ for a little while. I am still watching all the Masterclass videos and planning my sales pages but just not doing it as quickly as some others.

I agree the forum as really gone quiet at the moment – everyone must be either very busy creating their product or they have given up. I certainly don’t want to give up but I am going to have to go at my own pace. I also agree that people do not seem to be posting on their blogs, even I have slowed down, mainly because I was posting about each week of the course and because I am not actually ‘doing’ what I learn each week, I find I am not posting about it.

Congratulations Terry on ‘sticking it out’ you really are doing a great job.

    Take care.

  7. Hi Terry,

Well done on your determination to tackle the techie stuff and your book cover looks terrific. Regarding blog comments, I am begining to wonder if people know the etiquette of blogging – perhaps JT should cover this in the MC course. Barry Wells left a very fitting comment on my blog on my post about BLOGGING, perhaps people should take note of his remarks.

If you would like a review and testimonial for your ebook when it’s ready, just give me a shout.

    Regards,

    Bill

  11. Good for you! Although you’re taking too long to finish all your works, at least you’re learning from it. Just think about the skills you’ve developed in creating graphics for your project. You had the chance to improve yourself and trimmed down your costing too. Not bad after all!

  12. Robyn, I wouldn’t feel to disheartened that your e book isn’t doing as well as you had hoped- it’s a hard market to break into and patience really is key. I think Terry’s a real inspiration, demonstrating that through hard work and perseverance it’s possible to do the work on your own and avoid paying designers and start up fees. Taking a course seems like a sensible mode of action- I might look into it myself and see if there is anything I can do to improve my own sales.

  13. Look, everyone of us has our own pace to do things. Those that take longer roads usually have a better product when they finish.
I’m glad to see you managed to learn Photoshop, that program’s still killing my patience even now, after more than a year working with it.

It just saves you a good bit of money when you do as much as you can on your own with out outsourcing, you also learn a lot too. After a certain point when your business is more established you can then outsource if you wish. When it comes to learning Photoshop Martin, just learn what you need to get done. Learning the basics in Photoshop will get results.

  14. Hi Terry! I liked the design. I’ve had some issues with Photoshop in the past as well but I consider learning it as one of the best decisions I’ve made. The bottom line I think is passion. You’re going to need to have passion for what you do and aspire for. There’s no easy here. Those who don’t have the passion enough to continue, will surely give up.

    Hi Bob,

Me too, it might be a lot of work to learn but things become easier the more you learn. Knowledge is power.

When things get tough if you don’t have passion you will just give up. When things get hard that’s when the test comes and it will come often. Passion is the Fuel to reach your goals.

    Keep on keeping on,
