Week 17 John Thornhill Masterclass Program
Hi everyone, week 17 of the John Thornhill Masterclass Program marks the end of phase two, product creation. After this week we will be getting into phase 3 which will be sales page creation.
Week 17 is about final product creation steps and sales page preparation. My ebook is coming along well. There is a lot to write about. I’ve covered a great deal so far. There is still a bit more to do. I am not going to rush it.
In week 17 John Thornhill got us yet another free product ($37.00 value) to help us with our sales page creation. The ebook we got is Sales Letter ABC written by Randy Smith. I’m sure it will be another very informative much needed ebook to help us students. Thank’s John and thank you Randy.
In this week’s assingnments we got three video’s :
- Arrange files and folders
- Produce ebook
- Read Sales Letter ABC
Arrange files and folders: John Thornhill starts off telling us students to relax if we are still not finished with our ebook. We can move on with the course and come back to finishing our ebook anytime. As we move into sales page creation our ebook product doesn’t have to be 100% complete. John Thornhill instructs us to go to our masterclass folder. Within the masterclass folder we are to go to our ebook folder in my case the folder is called Learning the eBook Business and create folders within pertaining to our ebook such as an audio folder if we are going to have audio in our ebook, a video folder if we are going to have videos in our ebook, an images folder for our sales page, a raw files folder etc… John Thornhill stresses to back up these files. If something ever goes wrong we will not lose many, many hours of work (very important).
Produce ebook- In this video John shows us how to take our finished ebook in Microsoft Word document or Open Office file document and convert it into a PDF file as our complete finished ebook. Make sure you test all the links within. If or when needed you need to make any changes or add to your ebook you are going to need to go back to the Microsoft Word document file or Open Office file and add or make changes from there and then again make the new conversion to PDF. When you do this delete the old PDF so you don’t mix up the PDFs or put it into the raw files folder and make sure you label accordingly to know which one is which. I write my ebook in Microsoft Word then I copy it into Open Office and then I make the conversion to PDF. I write in Microsoft Word because I like it’s functionality. My version of Microsoft Word does not convert to PDF so I copy and paste my work into Open Office and convert to PDF.
Read Sales Letter ABC- In this video John explains when we students where at the beginning of ebook creation, we got the free ebook Operation eBook to prepare us for our ebook creation process. Now the same goes for our sales page creation process with Sales Letter ABC. This will prepare us students for what is to come.

Hi Terry, i’m really pleased to see you’re moving forward.
Terry i would keep going on the ebook while the content is on your mind. Finish the draft and then have a break from it before re-reading it.
